Where we work

Interior decorators in the Southern Suburbs

Established homes on generous plots, usually asking to be opened up and brought forward without erasing what made them worth buying.

The Southern Suburbs hold some of the oldest and most generously proportioned housing stock in the city. Much of our work here is renovation rather than new build: reworking a plan drawn for a different era of family life, without stripping the house of the proportions and detailing that give it value.

These projects live or die on the transition between old and new. A modern kitchen dropped into a period home either reads as a confident intervention or as a mistake, and the difference is usually in the joinery details, the ceiling treatment and how the floor level changes are handled.

Gardens matter more here than almost anywhere else in Cape Town. Sightlines from the living areas out to the garden, and the way the two palettes meet at the threshold, get planned deliberately rather than left to chance.
